Very intense course. you need to be commited to study apart from the college study you will need to set aside at least 20 hours of private study. you will aslo need to buy copies of the Health & Safety at Work Act and Principles of Health and Safety at Work. you can get these from the HSE Website. The NEBOSH is a national exam and the standard is very high.

Good luck

There were a lot of fire fighters taking the exam when i did it. Most of them failed (and became windowcleaners! ;D)! It's a lot of headwork, compareable to doing a mini law degree.  I think having it qualifies you to teach IOSH courses but i might be wrong.

You guy's are talking about the Diploma. The one i'm interested in is the General Certificate.

Evening classes, or day release.

It doesn't qualify to teach.

Sorry, it was the bit foxman said about mini law degree that threw me.

One of my relatives is a H&S Auditer, he recommended it if i ever wanted to go from Poacher to Gamekeeper.

I have to say if I ever did move on from WCing it would be in that direction.
