Window Cleaning Directory
« on: October 08, 2006, 04:05:43 pm »
Hi All,
I am going to put together a window cleaning directory for all UK towns and Cities and would appreciate ant feedback on this.

I am thinking of charging a small fee per year to get your business listed around the £5 mark (let me know if you think this would be to much) I am a window cleaner myself and also do webdesign and seo I have done quite a few sites like this but for other business areas when the site is up it should do very well I have done some keyword research on this what people type in google ect so if anyone types for eg "window cleaner in London" I am pretty confident that my site will be first page listed I am going to cover every area in the uk so there will be listings available all the time.

Let me know what you think guys and any input or info would be great.

Regards
Lee

Is this still going or does any one know of a similar one up and running.

hi Lee,

The window cleaners index is still up and running and is free.

There is also a brand new one that I put online a few days ago.

www.windowcleanerdirectory.co.uk

Its literally brand new so I haven't had chance to put any cleaners on yet. Not even myself!
Its absolutely free to list with an email link as well as a web site link.
I'm only asking money for those wanting to sponsor the regional pages.

Anyone want free website advertsing? The more the merrier.

At the moment you'd need to send your details by the email address shown on the site but soon there will be a form to make it easier.

I'm sorry to take the wind out of your sales Lee.
Seemed appropriate to answer your post though.

All the best

Mark Henderson

PS I'm thinking of adding a page to educate  general householders about water fed poles. If anyone feels like contributing a leaflet or whatever that they have already done, to save me a job, I'll put at the bottom of it Contributed by (and a link to your site.) Thank you

Helen

E-mail on way to you about this.

Ladders Free do a listing as well.  It costs you 95 quid plus VAT, and you have to fib about your COSHH knowledge and stuff to get a listing.

Hi Helen,

I'm not sure if you have sent an email, but I haven't received anything. Didn't want to appear ungrateful if you have sent something!

try this email address info@windowcleaningresources.co.uk

Thanks

I'm starting a freebie one if anybody is interested a free listing, I'm not aiming to compete, just to help get links to others with websites.

Email your details for inclusion, including your county as I would like it to be a county listing.
 Thanks
Glenn

My local council has a directory on their website for business's including window
cleaners ;D. Each year they then put out a booklet, and it is all FREE.

Worth looking to see if your council does this.
