Please dont give bad advice to newbies, resting a ladder against a gutter is a big no no.

I know a lot of windows use this bad practice (myself included in the past) but with the tools we have available these days there is absolutely no need for it.

Why risk your neck for that extra £1.00 , If you want to survive in this business its all about reducing risk ,not increasing it.

my worst accident was with ladders slipping sideways across a plastic window ledge, I was so lucky, it could of been worse.

Your using the wrong ladder. Choose an A Frame Ladder!

Completely agree get an A frame ladder that is designed for window cleaning
