One minute you're walking along minding your own business, next you're sent sprawling or flat on your back after skidding on a mystery patch of gravel on the slopey high street. They're like little marbles.
..and yes I do speak from experience.
Cobblers,
Road grit doesn't slip under your feet, totally and utterly disagree with you on that point, if it did the council would hardly use it themself on pavements would they?
Can you imagine all the compo claims from when the grit lorries go through a town centre, the grit doesn't just stay on the road you know, and what about when people cross the road?
Or cars breaking and then having an accident as a direct result of grit being thrown on the roads
Roger mentioned this last year, I experimented by deliberately trying to slip on it...and failed miserably
The grid is angular, not round, you couldn't slip on it if you tried (I did and couldn't!
