pub cleans
« on: September 14, 2006, 01:34:10 pm »
hi all,

I have just got in a couple of pubs to clean and have been told that the previous cleaning co charged £10 an hr. I thought this a bit low as the pub cleans are hard work and I pay £7per hr for staff. Once I add insurance costs and materials to this i'd be out of pocket. Any advice on prices for this work or is this amount about right. Any help would be gratefully received. The cleans are 7 days a week 2 hrs per day. Thanks

Hi Kim,

You are right, we do a few pubs for the major chains, they always want top quality service for peanuts, stick to your guns, and price it properly, they normally deal with the smaller contractor, who does not really understand all the costs involved and the difficulty of a 7 day 365 service, we as a guide charge £15 per hour per operative, hope this helps, regards,

Rob
A world of difference....

Thanks Rob for your reply. Well I can see that the landlord is taking the pee now , so I will quote more if he don't like it i will go elsewhere!. I thought £10 per hr was low. Many thanks,    Kim
