Just back from holidays and feeling blue
« on: August 23, 2006, 04:19:57 pm »
I got back to work yesterday after a couple of weeks off, had a really busy day yesterday and again today.

Halfway through the day as I was on my hands and knees cleaning one of those OXO Ikea rugs, I had that thought that you always get when you just come back to work......

"There must be more to life than this!!!"

Nearly every carpet I have done in the last couple of days has been a beige berber (varying shades of beige, but still beige!) and I am now sick of the sight of them.

The next two weeks are booked solid and I have no escape!

Is it me??  It may also be because the better half has stopped me from having a pint or two in the evening now that the holidays are over!

I'll probably be alright by Thursday!

Just think of the alternative Ian, stuck in some stuffy office or noisy factory. I know which I prefer.

I think you are just trying to wind up us newbies who dream of a couple of fully booked weeks, even beige ones. ;)

Today I got VERY wet trying to keep my leaflets dry. I hope I never become complacent.

Thanks John, you're right, I know which I'd prefer as well!

I may secretly hit the red wine tonight when she's not looking!!  Purely medicinal, of course go replace the pint of blood I donated last night, well it's the same colour isn't it?!?!.

Just have a read of your bank statement and all will be OK again.  ;)
I'm on holiday next week (just to rub it in!)  ;D
