hi Archy i have never used a gooseneck so i am the wrong person to ask if you phone danny and if possible go to his factory in chesterfield he will let you look at every aspect of the pole thats what i did before i ordered mine

i have just bought a carbon fibre pole from alex gardiner.it is a fishing pole.the length is 65ft with goose neck and weighs 3 kg.still just in early days with it.
