I do appreciate your response on a Sunday Simon-although you didn’t need to respond today.

I think looking at all that I’m going to just use a submersible pump like I already have. Yes cutting a hole in tank is a bit of a pain but TBH if that’s the setup I currently have it makes sense just to cut a hole out of new tank.

I shall let you get back to your Sunday. No need to respond.

The easiest way to drop in a submersible pump is by cutting an X in the top of the IBC tank, it more or less closes up after dropping the pump in

Sorry I missed this. Actually that could work. So cut an “X” but don’t cut all the way through. Just enough for it to open enough for the sub pump to go in.

Yep, the plastic is thin and flexible on an IBC tank so no need to cut a big hole in it😉
