So guys, was thinking of changing over to this setup.

How reliable are the fittings Vs standard rectus fittings?

I think they are the same, however because the are protected in a plastic cover they last longer.
I have had mine about 10 months, but once a week spray with wd40 this stops them jamming.

But over all its been a great move to go tubless.

Have a look at https://www.rootek-designs.co.uk/ tubless system. I've been using it for about 15 months and no issues, other than a spray of wd40 now and again all good - I think it only fits Gardiners poles though.

Exceed annoyed a lot of people as they changed the design and the old version is not compatible and then now only sell the new one!

I had issues with it, connectors not working. Happened a couple of times.

I worked out the major benefit was keeping the pole hose connected to the reel hose. So I just did that with the old set up and its effectively go tubeless. Works really well. Maybe I just had bad connectors/fittings. Others report it being good, such as my mate thats never had a problem.

Make your own tubless set up it’s very easy and costs around £5 per pole  to do
