Anyone want a solar panel cleaning job in London?
It’s easy piecey. It’s 800 panels. Water on site. On top of a building with 4’ high walls surrounding the buildings edge.
I did it 3 years ago, it took 2 days.
I’ve priced it in this time round for £1900.

Are you selling a the work ? How would you get introduced to the customer and put on their system for invoicing and payment etc? What's their requirements regarding insurance etc? Was this two one man days? Pressure washer or soft wash with chemical?

I did this three years ago with my Honda GSX Pro 20.
This was one man for two days. I did it.
I was thinking I’d speak to the client explain I cannot work now but would like to arrange for you (or whoever) to take the work on. It’s always nice to tell them we’ve worked together before I think.
Assuming the client agreed you can just take on the job and invoice them once it’s done.
They have this done every 2 or 3 years.
My Public Liability has always covered me for this job but they’ve never asked me for a copy.
Im thinking a payment (from you to me) of 10%, so £190, once the client has agreed to use the company I suggest.

Which part of London Matt? can the PW and all equipment go up on the roof, no issues with noise to the offices below?

Next to Heathrow airport.
There is a well supplied outside to the outside of the building. I’ve tapped off that and wheeled my bin- reservoir up and down the building, depending what part of the array I was working on.
I then had 30 or 40 metres of hose over the buildings edge down to the pressure washer I had sat at the bottom. The only gear at the top then was the solar panel cleaning pole and attachment on the end of it. This meant as I moved along the top of the building I could drag the hose with me.
I seem to remember there was one need to move the pressure washer along the length of the building but as it was always being filled from the 1/2” pipe off the outside tap no problem.
There’s no offices below. Theres a company work out of the building and it’s them who get the cleaning done but it’s not offices in there, they run a lot of trucks out of it. If you’re interested we can talk on the phone but I won’t divulge who it is on here.

There's no tap on the roof with good water pressure? would rather use a smaller machine that can be carried, Honda 11 LPM and have all equipment up on roof. Unless using your exact method, would be a gamble turning up on day of work without all ready been there and done a survey.

There is a flight of stairs, sturdy well built stairs, that I considered taking everything up, so it’s possible, I just opted to leave everything down on the ground.
Even if there’s no tap up there you can run one up there from the tap down in the ground.

Seems like a great job especially for anyone along the M25 . I will give it some thought Matt , but I'm sure it'll be more suited to a local off CIU
