What 40/40 membrane is everyone using?
« on: October 17, 2023, 03:05:10 pm »
Going to need a new 40/40 membrane soon, but the Axeon's hf5 are between  £400-500 now, which is a joke. Just wondered if there are any half decent alternatives that can be recommended (I use a booster pump to get around 80psi).
Cheers

I'm getting 006 from it with booster at 80psi. Don't know how long it will last though. If it lasts a year I'll be happy.
We look at them, they look through them.

My Axeon hf5 hasnt  lasted as long as that.
Do you have a link to the particular one you use as there is 4 different types listed on there site?, My water tds is around the 500 mark so even if it gets it down to under 15 ill be happy with that.
Thanks

And, in addition, if you get bad numbers out of it because it's faulty, you have 14 days to return it no questions asked. Other suppliers now charge £150 for them to test the returned membrane to check it's faulty.

I've never used a 40/40.

I keep thinking about upgrading but I've never had the need.

I just have a 450gpd ro.

It's 3 x 150gpd spectrum filters.

I change them about every 2 years  £90 for the 3.

I don't use any pre filters or anything
