Anyone used to cleaning tarmac.
What is the best way you have found to cleaning this surface?

What pressure do you go in at?
This is a newish drive.

FSC - as you should have 15 degree nozzles fitted full power is fine - it’s only a concern if it’s breaking up

I always pre treat with hypo

Do you find color comes out with hypo?

Never - hypo has no effect on tar - certainly not with a mix of 1 part hypo to 3 parts water for the short duration it’s down

There are too many fairies throwing their hands up in mock horror at the mere mention of hypo

Hypo on tarmac is fine if it’s older and wetherd but on very new tarmac it can bleach it , I think it was so one on here did   a plastic clean using hypo and it dripped on the drive and left pale marks , we did a drive clean and the run off went onto the pavement and we rinsed it down and to this day you can still see the lighter colour , I’ll try and remember ti take some pictures of it next time we are there .

I suppose its as the saying goes....
If in doubt do a spot treatment first.
But not in the middle of the drive

I know this is a couple of weeks old but if you are using a FSC opn Tarmac, start the machine and get the FSC going not on the surface & then bring it onto it.

Don't keep the FSC in one place, keep the movement even, no stopping and starting in the middle.

Otherwise the intial start and waiting for flow may catch you out and circle the start area - Irreparable!
