Lol yeah they are getting in first and tbh what can you say they know it should be more than a quid but they think I’ll put it up a quid so it won’t be more.

Imagine if you stared a round now and just said to the customer , pay me what you think it should be

Thought this was going to be a moaning thread.

I f***ing hate customers at the minute. Building work and going through dozens of soul destroying first cleans. Time wasters, messers and poor or non payers.

Makes you appreciate the regular reliable work even more

Ironically enough some businesses do this these days.....usually the 'woke' brigade....some hairdressers for example or market stalls selling fruit and veg...

The trouble with this is people have no idea what your costs/overheads are.... ::)roll

When I tell customers i need to earn at least 14k a year before I make a single penny they often think I'm lying! >:(

They haven't got a clue....

Also you will always get the skinflints who will give you next to nothing

I hate tight people who have money...I just want to punch them!

Nope, van paid for, buy a new pole now and again. Insurance around £300 just PL insurance, fuel, odd bit of clothing/boots when needed. Van servicing. Water bills/resin etc.
Nothing to do with income/turnover 🤷‍♂️
No advertising, no website, no marketing.
Not included tax on earnings.
Not much to spend on really.

I spend 5k on just van payments never mind the rest.

Its not the smartest move buying a new van i will admit but hey ho one day it will be a fully paid for low mileage van.

Tax isn’t an expense Daz.

It's worth it in the long run for peace of mind alone Adam .most second hand vans ive had in the past were absolutely battered by the time I bought them!🤣
