Do you mean a Univalve?

Slick connect joins pole hose to reel hose i thought? What's that got to do with a tap?

If its a Uni Valve there could be trouble ahead...

Think he's on about the click system for the bottom of the base section to avoid dangling pole hose in the van.

I wouldn't be able to work without a univalve  , pole taps are naff.

Biggest problem with slick connect is that it's a rigid/static connection. This results in the constant curling, twisting of the pole hose. It's constant for me now and does my head in!!😁. They get stuck on things even  more than Hozelock too.
They would be perfect if they were free to turn when connected like Hozelock fittings.

Never had problems with slick. Connect or univalve. Best connectors  in my opinion.

Do these turn when connected or are they locked in place?

They aren’t locked in place but using hot water the microbore hose is tight in the fitting and doesn’t freely spin , but we never get kinks of twists in any of our hoses we have 10 reels with them on brilliant things , give one a go and if you like it get some more that’s what I did .

Think the chocolate would melt with hot water though.
