Hi,

Can anyone explain what the 3 lights indicate on the front of the analogue pump controller?

On the left there is a red light marked PS, in the middle a blue one marked either DE on some pumps or SO on others, and on the right a green one marked batt, which I presume indicates that there is power from the battery?

It's the red one on the left that I'm particularly interested in.

Pressure switch has been activated.

I’ve not had an analogue for a long while but from memory, I used to get them when we had an air lock or it needed calibrating (there is a dial inside the controller to be able to adjust)

I’m sure if you search the forum back topics, it’ll come up.

Edited - check your wiring connections for corrosion as well

Another good thing to do first is to try and get all air out of the system before you start playing with the controller,lot of the time air can be a nightmare at causing problems.

As above comments the Red LED indicates that the pump pressure switch has activated. this is normally due to high pressure in the system. that cab caused by  twisted =/kinked hose. an airlock in the system, blocked pump pre filters, or brush jets. it could also be a pole valve that is not opening fully.

Where the calibration setting is high and flow is set high you see the PS light rater than DE (green) this is because when cal is high the controller is slower to dead end.

Third a loose connection or damaged wiring can cause the PS LED to come on, this is because the controller is carrying out an electrical test and if it sees a fault the Red LED is also used
check cables and connections including the fuse and fuse holder
