Best way to remove this?
« on: June 17, 2022, 06:56:10 am »
Just taken a new customer on and the back patio doors and main doors are covered in hand prints and smudges.
Apparently her kids were playing with sun tan lotion/sun block and it is all over the frames etc.
As this has not been removed for over a year and the frames and doors are dark wood grain effect upvc this could take some time.
Anyone had this in the past and how did you rectify it?
Would hot soapy water or white spirits be enough as I don't want to just spread any residue around to fill the wood grain.
The rest of the windows will look great when they are finished so I want to be able to clean these hand prints off without being there ages.

Cif is the answer to your prayers.

Or a new PVC restorer.

It’s grease that’s all just use fairy liquid on a cloth to scrub it off and clean as normal.

I would try some fairy straight into your brush before scrubbing . Loads of rinsing
