cleaning wrong house twice plonker
« on: March 21, 2022, 04:54:55 pm »
well i thought whats wrong here.  cleaned on friday,   got a message that rear windows were pitted.    ok   ill call 1st thing monday today.       Checked windows   kneeled down to look up the patio doors.    Theres the fault.       gluey resin marks on glass off stickers.   New builds.     Soapy water and sponge   all removed.
Text to tell him all cleaned.    Sausage dog was out in garden   secured   but no one in.

Messaged him all now cleaned.  mentioned sausage dog being out

I havent got a dog he says.   He has paid twice  after ive told him all cleaned.
Anyway  it appears im cleaning the wrong house.    Go to his house now and all cleaned.

Go to see if other home owner is in . Explain it to  him   and both just started laughing at my stupid mistake.
As it happens   he wants me to carry on cleaning his.      It worked out ok in the end
so easy to make a mistake.      Imagine more than 2 cleans.

Years/decades ago I was covering a mate's round when he was on holiday.

Hopped the back gate to confront the owner pruning his roses. He was buck naked save for his sandals and Panama hat.

'I'm the window cleaner covering for David, he's on holiday.'

He said 'I don't have a window cleaner.'

I skedaddled as it was the wrong house.

The 'right house' s' owner next door explained he was a naturist.

It's a game of three halves!

I cleaned the wrong flat for just under two years, the guy complained and I realised I had been cleaning the wrong windows.

I offered a refund or to clean his windows for free for the next two years. We agreed on me cleaning his windows for free for two years. On the last free clean he cancelled  ;D ;D ;D

I did a builders clean on a commercial property and as I reversed in, I hit a skip (not serious, but enough to put a slight dent in my bumper). I was a bit miffed.
The next day I returned to continue the job and reversed in again. I hit the same skip AGAIN, in exactly the same place and put a bigger dent in my bumper!
Luckily the job only took 2 days, or i'd have no van left!
"Thank you for calling: if you have a 1st floor flat, mid terraced house, lots of dogs, no parking, no side access, or no sense of humour, please press hold!

Builders clean on a 360 apartment complex and I had to do sparkle cleans also before handover day.
Pain in the arse but the money was good.
Used to get a print out of the flats needing done again for that week and trusted with the Master Key for access.
Slightly hungover and wanting to get the job done I entered the flat to packing boxes in the hall but I had seen this before as the developers had allowed some early entry for blind fitters etc.
Sounds of excitable shagging from one of the bedrooms made me retrace my footsteps and quietly close the door.
Yip I was on the wrong floor.
Got away with it.
