ive just bought 100m microbore hose, im running it from a freedome trolly 100ps pump even up full the water is coming out in a dribble. is the hose to long for the pump

A 100psi pump is more than man enough to power 100 meters, (it can easily power twice this amount) you need to check your connections.

Are you using a Varistream if so you need to adjust the blue dial inside the casing on it. The flow rate should be about 1.7-2 litres a  minute from the hose.

Welcome to the world of simplicity!

Use a high quality pump with decent pressure switch, a high quality reel of microbore and a simple flow valve on the pole and as you have found there really is no need for a varistream.

You have the right flow due to the microbore controlling the flow rate.
You have the ability to switch on and off at will with the flow valve and the pressure switch.

For many people the Varistream works well and is a clever bit of kit, but if you start with the right set-up it is superfluous.

Seriously, I did look for that post after a few days in order to respond to it and I couldn't find it.  Also, I couldn't remember who had posted it so I was a bit stuck.
There's nothing mysterious about it.
It's not really for this forum though.
Just be assured that I am happy to live and let live and have no quarrel with you or those who feel as you do.

Apologies to anyone reading this who is baffled.  The participants do know what they are referring to even if no-one else does

Here's another possible cause for lack of water flowing through your microbore hose with a 100psi pump and varistream fitted:  If the hoselock connection to your hosereel connection has a 'stop end' fitted to it, simply remove it (as this restricts the flow of water) and fit a simple 'thru flow' connector and this would allow you to continue using your varistream without having to fit a 60psi pressure switch. Do fit a control flow valve at the pole though as this allows you to slow down the flow rate required according to the job required. Hope I have been of any help to you.
