surfers in cali were wearing the hats long before cricketers, though most think of them as cricketers hats Wink

?

California wasnt founded until long after cricketers were wearing hats    ;D   ;D   ;D   ;D   ;D   ;D

and I have been working Spanish hours this week - start by 7, finish by 10 - 10.30, home, rest, cool down and restart around 3 to 3.30 and finish about 7.  Its worked quite well  :)

i read a article in 1 of the broadsheet newspapers (think it was the times) which was all about the "cricketers hat" and where they came from, they said that the surf crowd in cali were wearing them along time before cricketers

just incase people dont know what hat we are talking about, and these have a nice wide brim and a good price of 10 quid

Youv'e got to laugh, in the winter I run around to the sunny side of the house.
In the summer I run around to the shaded side of the house  ;D ;D

Coping well so far but hard going, loads of water a damp cloth to the face
every now and then. Used to the heat as brought up in a sunny country.

The young lad I have working for me has gone down with heat stroke,
told him on many occasions to use sun cream. What's with it with some
folk, we from the Southern Hemisphere respect the sun.

Over here you see some guys take their top off, no sun cream and then moan
  because they are burnt.

My head, arms are turning black, rest of me is white. The wife has a good laugh
  at night time.  ;D

Sarah,

You spelt 'passion' incorrectly; however, when I have a bit of 'passion', I like a nice cold drink afterwards too.

Love,

Tosh.

PS.  Are you an ex-soldier's 'pad's wife'?  They have a similar routine!

I don't cope very well with heat.  I take frequent breaks, lots of water to drink, and just plod around.  I still seem to get a reasonable amount done but nowhere near as much as on a cooler day.

Get-away; you're Welsh!  For a Taff-lass, it's never too hot, cold, dark, light, tired, hungry, wet, dry, fluffy or what-ever.

I know what you lot are like from experience.

Anyway...

It's nearly my bed time.  My alarm clock is set for 4.00 am.  Then, Wor Lass will want a bit of what you call 'pation', and I'll be out of bed by 4.02 am to get ready for work!

Got back in around 5pm. Kids were at their grans & the pool was out. Water had been there all day so was lovely & warm. Jumped straight in, then 5 mins later realised mobile was in my pocket. Think it's terminal.

Still hot? I'm not surprised! I wear just a pair of shorts this weather, you just cannot get away from the heat  :-\

Tomorrow I'm baby sitting some commercial work for a local guy.  I reckon I should be to crack it in around 3 hours, starting at 4.30 am and it adds up to a nice little earner.

I'll then go for breakfast in Tescos and after that, graft till I've had enough; probably about midday.

Call me a 'puff', but I'm sick of using a WFP, looking up and getting sweat dribbling into my eyes.  I want to use one of those headbands that were trendy in the 70's, but Wor Lass won't let me.
haha funily enough i was thinking about wearing one of those too but I wont allow myself :D

This hot weather is killing me im sure! i drank 4 litres of liquid today, had sweat dripping in my eyes all day got a fairish amount of work done but by 4pm was starting to slow and tire out thus leaving smears round the edges and having to clean each window for a lot longer :(
packed up at 4.40 and went home with back ache....cant wait for tomorrow (not)

Only went out for a few hours today about 11.30 i had a really bad headache so came home.
Not sure if it was the heat or what.

This afternoon the wife had enough of me so told me to go out and by some fence panels,
Should have stayed at work i would have saved money
