Jobs done early for christmas
«
on:
December 13, 2021, 08:15:13 am »
In the past I’ve always just completed jobs as and when they are due and worked in the week between Xmas and the new year.
But this year I feel like having a couple of weeks off and thinking of getting everything done by the day before Xmas Eve.
Nearly all my customers are 8 weekly and they would be done a week early at the most.
Should I inform the customers of my intentions first or just go ahead and do it? Instinct tells me that most would be happy to have a pre-Xmas clean even if done a bit early but I’m still not entirely sure.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Just get them done, its very unlikely anyone will say anything, most people are so busy 7-8 or 9 weeks they will have no idea, Its not unreasnable to want a couple of weeks off at this time of year, In the unlikely event any does complain, just leave them until they are due again in Febuary.

I’ve done the same. 6 weeks to 5 . If anybody asks tell them you want to engineer a break for yourself over Christmas , if not just carry on . Nobody’s said anything to me on my round yet

I can easily be a week early or a week late in any month of the year in December we flog the work so that we are off over the Christmas holidays and yes this means that most cleans will be early, the customers hardly ever mention it.
Also no walk ups taken on till after the new year. No one offs or add ons.

Just crack on, if any customers complain they’re probably not worth having on your round.

Doubt you will get anyone who says anything, if they were 4 weekly you would probably be more likely to.
How do you manage to do 2 full weeks work in a week though ?
Ive never pulled work forward as it would be impossible to get round them.
I will probably have 2 weeks off anyway and just be behind as usual.

Crack on
We do it every year
We’re due to finish this Friday for 2 weeks. Some cleans are a week early, some will be a week late
Nobody complains
