Dear Latepaying Fool,

If there is an issue with the quality of the clean then that is a different issue to your persistent late payments. If you believe I have missed "a spider's web" on the window then please let me know in a timely manner and I will attend to investigate whether I have left it inadvertently or whether the spider has built the web since I have left your property.

Yours sincerely,

Harleyman

I'd be tempted to contact customer and say....

" i'm afraid i can't achieve your own very high standards for window cleaning. Please have the outstanding clean on me and i'll remove you from my books"

I mentioned on another post that I had had a cheque bounce.

I Whatsapped her with the situation. The message was delivered but she never opened it.
I found her on Friday evening and she reluctantly paid me with cash. She then cancelled her clean, her daughter's clean, and her father's clean.

I was my fault that her cheque bounced because I am never around to clean when she is at home 😂
This was the first drama I've had from this customer. Even so I was seriously considering dumping her as my gut felt the proverbial writing was on the wall, but she dumped me first! 😱

You have just got to love it.

We all have late payers....some of my customers don't pay me for 2 or 3 months....its only a handful though and it's usually 2 or 3 cleans worth....most pay within 14 days of clean...

It has to be by cash, card or bank transfer as I don't accept cheques anymore....
price higher/work harder!

I dropped a customer around 8 years ago as she owed me for 5 cleans totalling €60 (I know, I know!)

I was cleaning her neighbour's windows recently, and she approached me and asked me to start cleaning hers again. On reminding her of her outstanding debt, she paid me €20 on the spot, and promised to settle the remainder next time I am around. I agree to restart once she is paid up. I'm not holding my breath, but it's a start.

Dear Cheeky Bast

It would appear that the spiders on your property are working 'even harder' than I am; by being able to rebuild their webs in such a short space of time, after i've cleaned. However, unlike the spiders, I would appreciate payment for my efforts, within a reasonable time frame.

Regards.
