What do your staff use for cleaner planner
« on: October 03, 2021, 08:51:00 pm »
As title says what do you give your staff to veiw their worksheets on and mark them off etc when they have them done.

Do you just ask them to download the app on their phone or what do you give them

Everyone has a smart phone nowadays

Google sheets, just CC them in on the link and they fill it in as they go, I can see where they are as the job is completed and its all free?

not an iPad  ;D

used various over the years - Tesco used to do a decent one for about £40

thats about the price I pay for one - nothing fancy - 6" screen - and usually undesirable so no one in their right mind would want to nick one  ;D

I gave my employee a second hand ipad mini. It stays in the van. Reason  being that he keeps forgetting his phone or dropping it or it was so crap it barely worked. He’s had so many phones I’ve lost count. I even provided a few but he broke them. At least a tablet can stay in the van so hasn’t been dropped or broken so far. Only problem i find is if I’ve had to make changes to the sheet during the day he can’t sync it unless he can find a hotspot or use his phone as one. Otherwise he has to wait until he gets back to mine. We still take a worksheet from aworka as well though as backup & sometimes i need to write things down. Also i find he makes mistakes on the ipad but the sheet tends to be correct. I keep the worksheets for a few months for discrepancies.

Basically my employee’s great at cleaning windows but often struggles with the ipad/paperwork side.
