where would you advertise for employees in 2022?
« on: November 05, 2021, 09:22:24 am »
I would like to have a good go at taking on a part timer to start with early next year then turn it into a full timer if he's (or possibility a she?) good. or a full time position with a 2 months trial.

where would you look? I know most of you will say Indeed but are there other places that worth looking? I'm aware that in our business it is not that easy to find someone but you can say the same thing with most businesses.

I often look around me and wondering how companies like uber eat, deliverioo, Just eat, Royal mail or amazon finding their workers, after what they look is not that far off from what we do in terms of skill and working conditions and we can pay better.

anyone tried recruitment agencies or is that too fancy for us?  ;D

Apply for kickstart.

The government will pay you £1500 up front then cover the wages of a toerag for 25 hours per week for 6 months.

We've got one just finished his 6 months now under full employment. Top lad.

If you apply now you should be doing interviews by December. For me it's a no brainer.

Don’t bother. There’s no money in employing. NWH says so it must be true.

Honestly - free money and free trial period. Can't lose.

A toerag, it's maybe Scottish? It means a young person who is often in trouble or up to no good.  ;)

Looks good, but after a few issues I’m taking older guys now. A lot to do with driving and insurance in truth. We’re all one man van and poor driving was/is taking its toll. The last three have been 40s and 50s. Early days yet, but I’m optimistic.
