I've advertised with yellow pages and Yell.com since the 70s and was wondering  what thoughts to the effectiveness of this form of advertising other cleaners have. I have a great website and Mr, Google seems to like me. My question is.... do I really need a prescence on Yell.com? I look forward to your replies.

What is yell.com? I know basically but is it still the book and a website ?

The fact that I need to ask those questions says it all really. Does their website appear on the 1st page of google when you search for carpet cleaners near you?

I would put any money I was going to spend on yell into SEO on my own website

Pretty much dead in the water i think. Do you see them coming up page one of Google for searches?

As far as i am aware they tried to cut a deal with Google and failed.
