  Hi all, just picking your brains, i have a handful of jobs that are  around 2 hours round trip away, just wondering
  what the average Hourly rate for travel people charge.  any replies appreciated.

  I wouldn't say its Phenomenal, but I've taken quite a hit work wise last year & this year with the Lockdowns, here in ireland
  window cleaning unfortunately was another service classed as unessential, so even though its outside work, we were not
 allowed to work during lockdowns, so I'm having to go the extra miles to get work to try and recoup.

 No its not 2 Hours away, its  1 Hour away,  1 Hour home = 2 Hours round trip.

Is this reg windows of stuff like s/f/g works?

My furthest reg windows Is 45 mins away - to make it work I canvassed and put out leaflets to get a good days worth of work I also priced slightly higher than more local work.

When it's bespoke work then I add £30 per hour for travel (e/w) and then price as normal for the actual job
So if it's a 50 min travel  each way price is £60 + (example) £275 for the work = £395 ( oh yeah + vat - just for Nigel 🤪)

personally i wouldnt take on work thats an hour drive away,nearly all my work is a 15 min drive from home..over 300 jobs in a 3 mile area.....ironically enough ive got 2 local commercial jobs to clean first thing  today  at £60 a pop which is my best hourly rate as i clean both in an hour...drive time 2 mins...

its really not worth driving for 2 hours to clean any work  IMO unless its a 4 hour job at a very high price or a days work...

im sorry to hear your struggling larry....have you really lost a lot of work over the last 18 months?

Hi dazmond,  last years 2020  takings were down nearly 50% on the year before 2019,  we were in the last  lockdown end of
december till April 12th, this year, and only parts of Construction and outdoor working were allowed back to work, so this
year alone i wasn't allowed to work for near on three and a half months. I'm lucky I'm still working, a lot of business's here
have gone, small shops etc.

I just incorporate the travel time into how long I predict the job will take. So off it’sa half day job plus a few hrs driving it becomes a full day rate

i forgot ireland didnt allow you to carry on window cleaning outdoors during lockdown.....all the best mate and i hope things pick up for you this year and next...hopefully we are over the worst of the pandemic now and the economy should bounce back strongly
