help with a water pump

Hi Guys ....I need your help again.

I need to get my hands on a water pump. This is not going to be used for a WFP, but to pump water from one container to another.

Dont really care how much the pump can handle I can leave it on for hours if need be.

Any thoughts........I  just need to move the water.

Machinemart do loads of tranfer pumps, i've got one and it works a treat, it moves 80lts of water a minute.

I looked at water pumps from Machine Mart, I wondered if they'd be any good.  Is yours a 240v or a 12v?

80 Litres per minute, now that is some transfer rate.

Hi Sunshine,

Have you considered raising the main tank on blocks? Then you can let gravity transfer the water to the smaller container. Of course, that's assuming you're draining into something like 25ltr containers.

...cant do the gravity thing as I am going to be pumping from one IBC to another.

Plan B . . .
How about a 'Y' or 'T' piece on the original source pipe to the first IBC so you can have a pipe to each of the containers. To divert the flow to either tank put a shut-off valve on each of the pipes after the split.

Et Voila! You don't need to buy, and supply power to, a new pump!

That'll be a fiver, thanks!
