Mine is 2 years old and is making rumbling noises when in use, I have removed the brushes and lubricated the end shafts but still making a noise any ideas anyone? Can the motor be lubricated at all?

I don't think that I ever had a duo last more than two years for me. The hair and crud get into the bearings and mess them up. Untill a few monts ago, I had about a half a dozen duos, in various states of repair in my workshop, but they all had more or less the same problem. I used to think of them as a consumable item.

Could it be the toothed belt slipping?
