Bad start to the day
« on: September 16, 2020, 03:18:21 pm »
On my way to first job of the day and got a blow out! luckily it was in town so only doing about 25mph at the time. I must have run over something sharp on the road as there was a big rip in the bottom and sidewall of the tyre😢 Unfortunately I had no option but to pull over on what is probably the steepest hill in town, that along with the fact that I had a full tank of water meant I didn’t want to use the standard jack so I had to phone a local tyre company who were great and came out within 15 mins and jacked it up with a trolley jack. They took the alloy wheel and damaged tyre away and fitted my spare for me. They had to order a new tyre in as I wanted the same make as the other 3 tyres,  got a call this afternoon to tell me the new tyre had arrived and had been fitted to wheel and they could refit the wheel to my van if I brought it in. £160 worse off but on the plus side I managed to work most of the day.
