« on: July 22, 2020, 08:32:06 pm »
Ibtried to jetwash a patio of outdoor tiles that look like flagstonnes. Didnt work, all it did was wash away the loose dust. What will bring them up clean?

A mono rotary machine fitted with a medium to stiff brush.  Pre wet with water, apply high alkaline, Agitate, allow to dwell , agitate again, extract, rinse and extract again ::)roll No danger to surrounding areas, no sludge or mess to clean. ;D

Not quite sure what you mean by a Tilemaster?  Anyone who is serious about hard floor cleaning should have a Mono Rotary machine  and a wet vacuum as part of their Arsenal

I do carpet cleaning and jet washing Kev, I dont want to be buying machines I have no use for or any idea how to use for that matter. A tilemaster is a floor tile cleaning machine. I can hire one from John Kelly. Waiting for customer to get back to me.

Ahh!  got it! you mean one of those small oscillating machines that look like a box with the flymo type handle.  They were made by Víctor in Birmingham and flogged by Tilemaster!   I  didn’t think they were still around because Victor went bust a couple of times.  Can you still buy them?
I used to do jet washing as well but I also had in my set up 2 FSC’s , 2 Rotary machines and a pump out wet vac I found them invaluable as a back up where the pressure washer alone couldn’t handle the job and needed a mechanical clean as well.

Yes stoll available to buy, John sells them. As said I'm not wanting to get onto the hard floor cleaning scene, zI was asked by a new customer to jet wash the patio but it was just like rinsing it with a garden hose. I will mention it next time I go to do the windows and see if she wants to hire the machine for themselves, but dont want to take the job myself as I have no idea how the tiles will look afterwards.

Is it the pressure washer you used?

Has the stone been sealed over existing soiling? - I've had this on a substantial property and there's nothing you can do, other than strip the sealer.

That is not the best picture because it is not clear what is wrong with it?

Just looked again - have they spread the grout over the surface when  laying it?
