Hi everyone,
I went to view an end of tenancy clean today so i could price it up and start work Monday.
When i got there, the flat was in very good condition and i thought well this will be a pleasure to clean.
I got into the Kitchen and it was neat and tidy, there was washing up on the draining board and all looked ok, then out of the corner of my eye i noticed what seemed like dust on the plates on the draining board, it didnt really register until i went to pick up my black book that i had left on the kitchen surface.
The book was covered in what seemed like dust, only this time it was clearly moving around, under closer inspection, the dust was tiny, tiny white bugs, it was all i could do to stop screaming and running out of the house, but i was professional and suggested to the landlord i had seen enough and could we go outside to finalise the deal, he obliged and we went outside. I told him that there were white bugs all over the kitchen and i didnt want to embarass the tennents as they were obviously unaware of the problem. I told him that i would try to find out what exactly these creatures were and the best way to deal with the situation.
I have been trying to find out on the internet and as of yet i havent found anything, has anyone else come accross these little critters before and whats the best way to deal with them, they were all over the place, on the fridge, cupboards, drainingboard, bin everywhere, they are hard to see unless you are really looking for them.
Oh, im still itching just thinking about them, i have also cleaned my book about 20 times. I'm dreading going back there Monday and i will be charging alot more for this clean than normal.
Or should i tell him to get rentokill in first!
All you veterans out there please help
