Change of subject.
I've had a fall, it happens quicker than you think.
Be careful.

I use ladders a fair bit so I guess it's a warning of a kind for me.  Doesn't look like he has any ladder feet which probably didn't help though plus he seems to have set it up on an odd looking surface (not grass or slabs).  It's a weird video as well as why is he being filmed in the first place and even more bizarre why are the observers laughing after the fall?

On the odd occasions I use a ladder I use a laddermate too. Stops the ladder from slipping as per the first clip. Can still be dangerous of course.
I have three jobs on the same road this week. Gutters, long row of terraced houses with poor access to the back. Will be taking extra care.

Madness to still be cleaning windows off ladders.

Not only from a safety point of view but a financial one also.

Should be banned really, times change. I watched 2 rats pull up in an old Nissan micra just the other day. Wooden ladders out and climbing onto a glass conny roof! It was like being in a time machine.

I’ve just taken my ladders and rack off my van as I’m still being asked by customers to clear gutters even though I stopped a few years ago, they see the ladders and say “can you just“, I kept them on for the couple of jobs like getting over garages single storey extensions etc so I’ve now chopped them down so they’re long enough to go inside the van and won’t be seen!
Had a few falls myself, no matter how safe you think they are there’s always that one time they’ll throw you off!

I still use ladders every now and then, kind of grew up doing it From 18 years old, so still have some confidence using them on the rare occasions.

I’ve had two falls. No injuries, though did come away with cuts and scratches.

I fell from upstairs height, straight down, landed on my hands and feet, work mate said it was a miracle.

All I did was have an incredible pain in my hands where I ‘slapped’ the floor on landing.

The less you use the better, but sometimes they are needed for certain reasons.

One thing is for sure, I would never do 3 story work off a ladder anymore. I used to, and to be honest, I don’t know how it did. I’d be petrified now.

WFP is just so much better in every way!

I've had one fall in my time.

22 years ago, Id been self-employed 3 weeks and tried bouncing the ladder across a window sill to reach the top corner. It was on a concrete drive. It didn't go well.

I came off and broke my heel bone and split the tibia from the base. Off work 6 weeks. If I hadn't learnt then I wouldve done it some time in the future.

When it goes, there's nothing on earth that'll stop it.

Imprinted concrete is the worst!that's how I fell off.....

I still use ladders occasionally....mainly for opening the odd gate or cleaning a glass roof.......
