Bet it’s only microbore hose again...

Jordan can make any size width reel and now with dual motors. He's talking of up to 200M of microbore, so if you're interested in a different set up message him direct.

I was going to make my proloc in to a diy electric. One thing thats put me off though is how when I reel a lot of the hose back on I have to constantly check its spooling on neatly and evenly else it gives me issues when I next unreel it.  I'm guessing  the two retaining bars on this are to combat the problem. I'd still like to see a video of it "in the field" , winding on a fully unreeled  100 meters of microbore. That would be the selling point for me. If it could do that consistently with minimal interaction from me then it would be money well spent. Until I see that I remain sceptical.

It will work the same still better to reel in at the van holding hose with a cloth, the side bars will stop it going over the side and knocking the chain off.
It’s not a problem when a small amount of hose goes over the side, the real trouble starts if 4/5 rotations go over if you’ve not dealt with that before it can become a bit of a nightmare,at that point you may have to cut the hose off that’s gone over untangle it cut off the fitting and replace it on another section of the hose.

Got mine today and fitted it straight after work and have to say I’m impressed but I’m comparing it to the old powerup addon kit on the clover reel, I have used a powerup hd though and this feels really smooth with the belt drive.
Only put the hose on and off the reel a few times so tomorrow will be the proper test but looks like there’s no way hose can get down the sides and caught.
The box felt quite light when I got it but then forgot it was abs plastic and it feels really sold with the two bars up top and I like the new hand switch too.
Think it will be a tool I’ll enjoy using!

What size hose did it come with mate? Micro or mini?

I just put my gardiner microbore on pal, the internal barber fitting is tiny and I don’t think you’d get minibore on it so you’d have to change that barb out if you wanted to use minibore plus the reel seemed a little less wider than the cloverleaf reel so I wouldn’t have said you’d get 100m of minibore again but it took 100m of micro no probs😉

They are pal, it has the screw holes hidden away inside like the hd but it also has 4 little metal tabs sticking out so you can just screw it to the floor easily enough!

Exactly the same are they because I have a bespoke stand it would need to go over the existing holes.

Yeah waterworks have said it fits in exactly the same footprint as they’ve built them to fit into they’re tanks new and old with the same base layout!

It looks great.  Want to see some videos first of it in operation. Very tempted.

I am worried about putting holes in floor to fit it.  Wonder if it can be fitted to the gripa tanks?

Sorry pal I meant the mounting points rather than the size of it, yes it’s a fair bit wider but the actual internal mounting points will fit in exact place of the older powerup reel in the tanks😉
