He'll get paid.  It'll all be in the name of some company and some admin bod will pay the bills.

I used to clean a big country house called Shirenewton Hall and it was all under the owner's building company's name.  And I'd e-mail the company and some admin bod paid us.

I used to do shire newton hall before I came to Cornwall. They had a crappy little dog, two ugly daughters and they bounced a cheque and took ages to replace it. Not nice people when I was doing it.

Did the mum and the ginger daughter look like they'd had too much plastic surgery?

I also binned the account because I didn't like the mother.

Never had any problems getting paid, straight into the bank; no cheques though.  Their only saving grace was that it was a well priced and good paying account.

Small world though. ;D

Could be the same people.

The ugly sisters always stuck in my mind. Brattish creatures.

Nice house though, I remember some nice stained glass panels.

It was before WFP so all done from a ladder.

Did they have a pretty stepsister called Cinderella? What size glass slipper did Tosh find?

No way; it's all leaded; must've been a nightmare.

Outsides done very quickly with WFP and two of us.

Insides - not much fun - and each door had to be unlocked to get in, then re-locked on the way out (insurance requirement to protect against burglars; they'd have to smash their way out of that room if they got in through a window). Two old locks per oak door.   Big massive leaded bay windows everywhere.  Swimming pool area sweltering hot.

But you're right, the auld lass was a bit of a witch - like some rough valleys lass - but with too much money.

I've a couple of photos...

They've got a Japanese garden complete with coy carp and Japanese tea house.

They've also got one of them big massive bells, like - massive - straight out of a kung foo film: in their garden.  The type you'd 'boing' using a tree trunk suspended on rope. ;D

How the other half live.

Kung fu.
They reckon a lot of these old Lords develop underlying respiratory problems because of the amount of Mr. Muscle and blue roll used on internal window cleans.
Nice legs, btw. Lovely dining table all round, in fact.

Yes, you miss the high ones and the ones behind the curtains.

And get your missis to do them.
