Would you.?
« on: April 01, 2020, 07:36:09 pm »
I've had a call from my best paying job that exceeds my average days earnings by a good sum. Its about a 6 hr job in and out, stand alone new build farm house in own grounds. I have pointed out the obvious risk given the current situation regarding the insides. They are comfortable with me still doing the whole job though. Don't shoot me down as being irresponsible I hav'nt made a decision yet. It's a very large and open plan designed building. I wouldn't be in close proximity to them at any point and it's layout is such that I have no reason to touch anything other than inside windows with sterile gloves. What are others thoughts on this ?

If it were me I would just do the outsides & leave the insides for another time.

They are comfortable about you doing it but are you?
I think I'd go with Cookie's suggestion.

Just think if say 2 people live in that house and you touch a few surfaces by mistake vs going into a supermarket and touching loads of things that potentially hundreds of people have touched before you.

Do what you want, no one can decide. The risk is low but life is a gamble

Wear a fresh pair of gloves before you start, ask them to respect the two metre distance (in case they sneeze/cough on you, or you them) and wash your hands when you finish.

Job jobbed.

I wouldn’t. The homeowners could catch the virus from absolutely anywhere in the near future....or indeed already have it without their knowledge.....the finger may well be pointed at you.

If you do choose to do inside I would write a statement of post procedural actions. Written evidence of safe working.  So at least you can refer back to should you wish.

I wouldn't do the inside,  but if you decide to, can you do it on a day nobody's home?
