Rectus fittings.
« on: February 29, 2020, 05:06:37 pm »
I've used the type 21 rectus type fittings from Window Vleaning Warehouse for a long time but recently they've been packing up far too quickly for my liking; two in the space of two weeks on the same hose, despite both our 8mm reel hose and 6mm pole hose having protector balls fitted.

Is there a better alternative to fit our 8mm reel hose??

Cheers in advance 😊

Yes.....rectus 26.....I've used them for years now...much stronger and robust than the 21s.....I change mine every 5 or 6 months on my main reel/pole hose...I drag them across the ground all the time too....I occasionally use WD40 to keep them from jamming
price higher/work harder!

Rectus 26 I find to be rubbish as said you must even from new lubricate them, use the WD40 lube that coats them in a white foam they will last 100 times longer as soon as they stop clicking together they very soon fail completely.

Slick connect seems to be the best so far for me,used everything else but they still leak abit from time to time but they dont come apart like rectus fittings do.

They aren’t fit for Window cleaning and need putting in the bin 🗑
