Hi,
Just about to replace my 3 membranes. They are set up so the waste from the first feeds the second and then that waste feeds the third
Is that the most efficient way? I’m sure I’ve seem on here a different set up, but can’t find it with a search
Many thanks
Tony
It saves a bit of water and is cheaper to setup. The third membrane gets hammered IMHO and will be the first to fail.
The r/o I first had was setup so each membrane was fed directly from the pipe coming from the prefilters. Each waste was joined or linked together with the waste valve (restrictor in my case) after that. The waste then went to the drain.
All the pure outlets where joined together before di.
To do this you will probably have to order some more 1/4" tubing and a number of John Guest 1/4" push in T pieces. I think I needed 6, 2 for the inlets, 2 for joining the waste a 2 for joining the pures together.
