8th week after Christmas
« on: February 27, 2019, 02:57:17 pm »
If by the 8th week after Christmas you're totally up to date which we were, what do you do? Throughout last year we were always late, but with the lack of staff taking time off this time of year, by the time we got to 8 weeks we'd caught up. Consequently we're doing work on week 7 rather than week 8 if that makes sense? So basically until this years work starts to flow in with the new leaflet campaign, we're working a week ahead more or less. I've never been in the situation before.

No doesn’t make sence- sorry, don’t you mean your cleaning week nine on week 8?

Happy to say we neither run late or early ( other than the odd day here or there )

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

So your running on time now and/or a week in front so every 7 weeks now lol.

Its a great position to be in, i hate running late. So are you enjoying it or are you itching to fill the space with more work and start running tight or late again?

Yes so 8 weeks after the Christmas week (between Christmas and new year) when obviously no work was done we find that by virtue of being a couple of days ahead before Christmas we reached the point that we were completely up to date. Therefore we had a blank week because 8 weeks before no work was done. So I had to drag all our work forward by a week or give everyone a week off!

Just crack on with it.
Like you I'm 8 weekly but now and again, with periods of good weather etc, I get ahead of myself and get to a lot of customers on week 7. Honestly know one notices as 7 - 8 weeks is quite a big gap between cleans and most have forgotten when you last came anyway.

Well no one’s noticed to date. Who was the WC on here that turned all of his 8 weekly work to 7 weekly giving quite a boost to his annual income? I don’t think anyone noticed.
