Someone asked me today if deep cleaning a carpet would restore the pile from where it had been flattened by furniture. I said probably not am I correct?

If the furniture is heavy and it's been in place for a reasonable amount of time I would say yes, you are correct.

I’ve Lifted carpet and found the  underlay  to be completely ( and permantly )  flattened from heavy furniture, even if you can revitalise the pile of the carpet you can still see an indentation.

I always explain this to the customer
