I have a jaguar cub and when turning the vac motor on it smells like wool carpet. Hoses are clean as I put bleach in them every Friday and let that soak in for 30 min and then rinse them, inside of the machine is clean. Any ideas?

 If you have a bend in the stack ( the tube inside the  wastetank )    pull it off and see if theres a filter  ...  the filter might be part clogged with smelly wool  .   
 also stick finger into stack  ...  and see if grime is building up inside (  it might be getting sucked into stack in the form of foam or wet wool fibers )
also if there is an exhaust  ... see if thats dirty inside .

Apart from that it can be grime in the bottom of the tank in hot weather  ... smelly  ...     and the cub dosnt flush grime out on emptying  ...      actually  the express / mini is not much better in that department  ... american ' design '

Every so often I’ll remove any residue wool etc from the waste tank, then switch on the vacs and run bleach into the hose and into the empty waste tank and leave over night.

The bacteria will grow in the tank more during the warm weather making it smell like a sewer

At the end of everyday wash the tank out rinse it well and get kitchen roll or a rag  and remove as much grit  as possible  then rinse again try not to leave any water in the tank.

Leave the lid off when not in use to allow air to circulate.

Do all these things and you shouldn't have a problem with a smelly machine.

I have never understood how you can take a stinking dirty machine into someone's house to clean it gives a bad first impression in my eyes your equipment is a reflection of you and if you can't be bothered to keep your kit clean what does that say about  your quality of workmanship.
