Altering frame size?
« on: February 12, 2018, 12:00:48 pm »
Hi folks,
I've a 350ltr tank and I'd like a 500ltr. Has anyone used a metal fabricator to alter the size?

i used to have a 350L tank years ago .....i sold it on gumtree  then just bought a 500L upright tank and a crash tested frame from pure freedom...youll get it cheaper if you have a local fabricators near you who ll knock one up for you(mine was over £400 from PF with VAT and delivery and that was just the frame).still worth it for me though.saves messing around.i ordered it and 3 days later it was at my door....lovely... ;D
price higher/work harder!

I bought a second hand frame that was rusted at the bottom, my local fabricator cut the bottom off and welded some new angle iron for me.

I then painted it with hammerite and it looked brand new, he bolted it in for me too, was £130 all in for what he did.

If you have 175l twin tanks you could replace with 250l twin tanks to give you 500l

Where is your fabricator based? That sounds a bargain!
