I can't believe you locked the other thread before SS told us more about the solar energy pandemic about to strike window cleaners.  ;D

I agree - in fact it should be pinned for all to re visit on a regular basis

Hell it's not rocket science if the pole is insulated current pass through it to you.  You can buy heat-shrink tubing on ebay for under a tenner, insulates the whole bottom section, and keeps carbon particles off your gloves. [waterproof and insulated of course]

On Spruce post,
I remember our physics teacher saying, that if he was working on an electrical supply and was not 100% sure of its safety (for some reason), he would work on it while having his other free hand on his leg.
His reason was, that if he should get a shock, it would travel down his arm, across his collarbone and go down the leg where his hand rested!! It would save his heart from the shock.
I don't know if this is accurate or not, but it makes sense to me.


Would he need to wear shorts as well?
