Hello all,  do any of u lads use one of these spectrum DI resin saver vessels? I have a standard blue 6.9l version, and i give it a good shake when the tds hits about 3ppm which is no problem. BUT i think the resin at the base does not shake loose and gets stuck? I say this because when i do a resin change @ around 5/6ppm,  the bottom few inches of resin seems to stick in the base of the vessel when emptying & changing, and it makes me wonder if that bottom resin on a standard vessel gets used up? because im not sure it comes loose when shaking the vessel up & down, and is wasted?  Also this may sound silly, but has anyone tried using a vessel upside down? so the water pushes upwards, instead of downwards through the resin, leaving the bottom riser outlet  a bit clear? thats if im right in thinking the water goes in at the top and out at the base and up the riser tube?  ive used unger resin  for the last few years now, but it dosen't seem as good as b4?? i had this with tulsion going back a few years. plus does anyone have any experience with the DI saver vessel? Cheers m

Personally I wouldn't use a DI vessel smaller than 11ltrs and if your looking to save on resin double up on the vessel, this means
you can run your vessel until the resin is completely spent/ doing nothing before dumping.

The water goes down the pipe and out the bottom mesh then back up through the resin and through the top filter. When your emptying the vessel just add a little water and swirl it to free up the resin. Why you would consider using the vessel upside down I don't know!

I've Got the Spectrum Resin Vessel - it's sitting in my garage doing nothing as it has for the past 18 months.
It was an absolute pain in the posterior to fill and empty. What's more there is no noticeable increase in time before the resin was spent. In fact I'd go so far to say it was worse!

I still give it garage space as I may be forced to use it in dire circumstances.

Thanks 4 the replys - Anyway as they are already due a change, whilst i was ordering a new 40" RO  and a few sets of 20" pre - filters from gaps water, i spoke to the always helpful gill about the spectrum di resin vessel thing, and funny enough although they sell them, she dosent appear to really rate them either, as they are very awkward to fill and empty, as said above, so i think i will stick with the basic 6.9l one i already have.  I also asked her about the water travel direction within the vessel (up or down), and she says a few of her customers reckon swapping the water inlet for the outlet, makes the resin last a little longer? as although it isn't the factory instructions, it would mean that water travels down the riser instead of up it,  and the downward water pressure disturbing the vessel's unused base resin? kind of like what i was thinking in a way,  just a idea i guess, and will give it a try. Cheers m
