I have spent hundreds over the winters and nothing has worked in both warmth and waterproof, until I found these.
Muck Boots
Mens Arctic Excursion Ankle

They are quite simply fantastic

Post a pic if your partner agrees to wear them!

i bought some composite toe waterproof caterpillar boots a few months ago.they seem very solid and comfortable.i got them from their official online website.i used to always buy bergaus explorer boots but their quality has really gone downhill IMO and they dont even last a year before leaking. ::)roll.they used to last at least 18 months.
price higher/work harder!

There is only one product that would keep your feet %100 dry and breathable,, and as long as your footwear choice has ,,gortex,, you won't go wrong

Mammut is my preferred choice.  I'm on my fourth pair but spending £120+ on a gortex pair isn't going to guarantee anything. They're good but 120+ for work or wellies for 25 squid!

I had my cat middi boots for 5 years now and they have stood the test of time, cost around £90.00 I think.

Just ordered some of them muck boots as they look light and great for working in some of the mucky areas I work in north wales.

The biggest problem I have found with these "welly" type boots is that they all seem to have very thin soles!!

I wear waterproof walking boots, just got a new pair for this winter £ 37 last pair lasted a year didn't leak, previous pair same manufacturer lasted 10 months, before letting in water.
I find walking boots comfortable and good ankle support.

You. Can pay a lot more for walking boots but I'm to tight ,and they will also leak in time
