12.7 after a bench charge? Sounds like your battery is shot to bits. (Unless you’ve left it for 24 hours after the charge, in that case 12.7 might be normal)

Should be reading atleast 12.9-13 odd after a full charge.

Failing that (no pun intended) you’ve got a duffer.

I’ve got a diy electric reel, using almost the exact same parts as the power up, (same motor etc) and it winds in 100m of minibore like a piece of cake.

Maybe test it on a new battery, or send it back to Jordan at power up.

Does the battery get charged by a relay? If so have your van engine running when you use it and see if there is a difference.
It's a game of three halves!

Do this......then you'll know if it's the battery that needs replacing
price higher/work harder!

I just bench charge it up when needed. I don't have a relay. Since I have added the exceed hose it's ok now. Thanks for the replies.

If you don't have a split relay you should charge your battery every day. They last longer if kept well charged. If it discharges too much it will be damaged (as in not being able to hold so much charge).
