Whats everybodies timescale that they wait until they send a text reminder for late paying BACS customers?..

Two weeks

3 days. Polite Payment reminder saying pay within 7 days of the clean. Then an overdue text on day 8 if not paid.

My slips say 3 days, I give them 7 then text then maybe 4 days them text again, then 4 again, then 3,3,2,2,1,1 letter, dump and court

I send out reminder texts on a Sunday evening about 8pm for the week just worked.
I feel they're more likely to be at home then with time to do it.
Only ever had one person ask me not to disturb them on a Sunday.

I stop after 1 credit, unless I have had them for ages

As soon as 'aworka' tells me the payment is overdue, email is sent that day and followed up 3 days later if payment still not paid at 14 days after clean then time to take some form of action.

If in arrears, no further work will be carried out.

Repeat late payer options:

Put on late payment fee list

Payment by cash on day

x payments in advance

or get rid

..... obviously options are based on customer history, the odd late payment of a few days can be just sloppy and hey that's life.... Repeat late payers do so by choice and are placed on my find & replace list i.e I actively look for 2 jobs to replace them.
