135psi is enough.
You just need to do good prep work.
Its the prep that cleans the carpet.
The machine only rinses.
If the soil is already loose then 135psi will rinse it out.

The machine provides the water pressure, temp  and vacuum. The wand or tool provides the rinsing and all/or further agitation, depending upon the degree of soiling. Not all jobs require pre agitation, and indeed sole agitation whilst simultaneously rinsing with the wand is frequently sufficient. Much talk re: the use of a CRB for agitation is very overdone imo. I have owned one in the past and they save a bit of effort, but seem a bit on the aggressive side to me, even with soft brushes.
Some time ago I had an Alltec Pro Plus and it was perfectly good enough, when just using a standard long handled pre-agitation brush, when required.
