Diesel Pressure Washers
« on: March 12, 2017, 06:20:12 pm »
Hi

I'm looking to get my first pressure washer for work and if possible i'd like a diesel.

Most of the ones i am looking at in my price bracket are 15 lpm and around 200 bar/3000psi. Is that enough flow or would i be better having a petrol GX motor and 21 lpm for the same sort of price?

I managed for years with a 15 ltr machine. The big question is how much work will you have for it. My diesel machine paid for itself in fuel savings very quickly - it'll work all day on a tenner where the Honda would easily use 35 ltrs in a day. I still have the Honda because it'll go in a lift and as a spare

Don't try anyone else's 21 ltr machine if you have a 15 ltr  ;)

We use our Edge Grimebusters these machines whilst being old are great as they require no power or water and carry up to 900 litres, although that only lasts 45 minutes but if connected with a hose you can have an operative work continually uninterrupted with hot pressure up to 160 degrees, and on red diesel this  costs about £40 a day.

They are trailer mounted and can often be anywhere in the UK from day to day the difficulty is explaining to the general public the difference between our machine and one there friend has bought from B & Q which is cold feed only, once you have diesel machines often win hands down.

For us we would prefer 1/2 or full day work as opposed to continually doing small path ways but I guess that is what everyone in the market requires.

If you want to have a look at the machines feel free to view our website on www.nationwideukcleaning.co.uk or feel free to contact me online through the forum regards Darren
