Aworka to Cleaner Planner
« on: February 19, 2017, 03:07:20 pm »
Anyone swapped from aworka to cleaner planner ?

I currently work on Aworka but lately I'm finding that it doesn't offer me the ability to do things I'd like it to .... Like the ability to adjust price etc.. On future dated  work ...make advanced notes ...I've also experienced issues on emailing invoices ( albeit that issue was resolved )

Just wonder if it's time for me to move away from aworka and Intrested to hear from those who've made the same switch and how it's helped them ( if it has )

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul. I did for 2 months and then switched back.. I had also had 2 free 6 week trials.
If I'm honest I probably got swept away with all the hype that went with CP.
I was used to Aworka as I'd been using it for 3 years and couldn't get used to the "feel" of CP.
I also struggled with its cost. Aworka is £100 upfront yearly for all the same features of the £25 CP package. I think this is now plus vat.
Both are well supported .
HTH but not sure how!

To change future price, can you not just change the figure and leave permanent unticked? I looked at CP and it confused me. I'm easily confused though.

It was taking the price out all together ( so to free ) ... It then wiped all the cleans leading up to that clean off the system as it takes / assumes  the one your adjusting as the next clean ( or something along those lines ! )
Like you it confused me also ... Now you mention that Maybe I'll try adjusting it to 1p and that may work

There's an option to 'skip', that might help?

the problem is once you start messing with cleans in advance it for some reason considers that as the next clean - and wipes / affects planned cleans before then .

I just tried it. I've a clean tomorrow for £18, I went to April and changed the price of the job to £0, which cones up as FREE. Went back and checked tomorrow's job and it's still £18, also checked it for June and it's £18 too? Sure you're not ticking the permanent box amigo?

I've noticed that it alters the price sometimes. If I book a gutter clear for the next clean and alter the price it sometimes reverts back. I think it doesn't like jobs with altered prices being moved and I'm forever juggling. I always put the price for the gutter clear in the notes now so that it's still there if I lose it on the job sheet. Annoying.

I setup a new job within the customer for gutter cleans, pressure cleaning etc. Its good because you can easily see a breakdown of where the money comes from, and a lot easier to schedule our 6/12 monthly gutter cleans as they show up on the planner in advance with price, notes etc all there. A few weeks before I contact all the customers to book the work in.

Personally I couldn't be without CleanerPlanner now, I was dubious in the beginning and it took me a minute to master it but it really is a great tool.

I think horses for courses really.
Aworka 10 pounds per month
Cleaner planner 25 pounds per month
If you need the extra features for an extra 15 pounds then that's fine.
I think for sole traders Aworka is excellent. If you have a multivan business then CP may work better for you.
