I've been with A-plan for the past 3 years because of the wfp van option in event of a claim.
However on renewal in the next 2 weeks I'm anticipating an increase in premium (as has been the case for the past couple of years even though I haven't made a claim).
So I'm looking for other brokers who offer the wfp van option.
I've noted Alexander Swan who I will contact for a quote.
Are there any others I should consider (wfp van option only)?
I would also be interested to hear of anyone's experience of making a claim with Alexander Swan or others.

My wfp van and fitted 650 liter tank is currently insured with Aviva. Its a joint insurance with my car. Its also much cheaper than A Plan offered. Like you I was with A plan for a number of years but the annual increases were ridiculous. Then the wife was involved in an accident in her car and because she was also insured on the van they pushed the premium up by 40%.
Removing her from the van insurance didn't reduce the insurance but increased it further.
They told me I would never get insurance with anyone other company as Ageas were the only insurance company that insured vans carrying more than 500 liter of water.
I was even prepared to replace the tank with a smaller one to give me more options and not be blackmailed by them.
The crazy thing was that the wife's car was insured with Ageas. Had we both stayed with them the following year our increased insurance policies would have been nearly the same amount as what they paid out on my wife's car. Had we stayed with them for 2 years they would have been in surplus.
