Anyone who uses a window cleaning trolley Pure Freedom, X-line etc and lifts them in and out of car/van will know the heaviest part is the battery!

We have two x-line trollies and lifting in and out of van all day long can take its toll. We changed our batteries to LITHIUM Golf Trolley Battery and wow what a difference in weight. It is like lifting a trolley with no battery on.  They cost a lot more but are meant to last 10 times longer. We use a 12V 16ah one and it lasts all day no trouble.

Worth having a look if you want to reduce lifting weight. (We prefer trolley to van mount systems it works better for us!)

I did something similar to mine.
I fitted pneumatic tyres instead of solids, fitted a backpack style 5ltr/min pump (£15) and much lighter than the Sureflo, and a12v 7ah battery (£15) to my PF trolley and chucked the battery box. It's now half the weight and runs all day on a charge. Like you say, at this weight it's a breeze to get in and out of my motor and is much easier to work with as well, because it starts out lighter even with a full barrel and as the barrel empties it becomes lighter quicker. At first I kept thinking I was running out of water only to discover I had half a barrel left.
I also keep spares on board so in the event of breakdown I can replace any part, including the pump within 5 minutes. The batteries won't last like the lithium ones will but at £24 for two they're cheap as chips. The big test will be winter though. So I may be back to the Sureflo with a lithium battery by spring.

Recon PF have been reading this forum. Don't know why they've ditched the folding handle though. I believe it to be more sturdy than the sliding one. The folding one will also fit in a smaller boot. The nano won't fit in mine but the regular PF trolley will

Why anyone would pay 500 quid for a trolley is beyond me. Mine must have cost 60-70 quid.

As above 7ah battery 5lpm c****y pump and a lightweight alloy trolley.  FEW fittings job done

They were more than a thousand pounds when they first came out.

Gotta be honest, though I thought it expensive, I bought one and don't regret it. It allowed me to carry on in a job I enjoyed and would otherwise have had to give up. It paid for itself very quickly.  I still think they are expensive for what they are but they are fitted with a battery, electronics and a pump that combined would cost you £300 and the company are a business and have to make profit or they won't stay in business. Do I think they need to be kitted out with such expensive components? No! But that is only my view. It is what it is. Business!

I bought one too, it'd paid for itself by T - minus 30 minutes.

We are curently in the process of testing a few lithium batteries in our trolleys, very soon we aim to have these as an option on them, gives the customer the option between the two types and prices.

I have a PF trolley with folding handle and 50 litre version.
They are a solid bit of kit, well engineered and fitted with quality components....pump, battery and flow controller all wired up properly and they look the part.
Why buy cheap components when you know they will last 2 minutes and you'll be buying and fitting again
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.
